San Diego Through a Local's Eye: Carol Yeh-Garner
Carol Yeh-Garner lives in North County in La Costa. She’s married to Scott Garner, a former elementary school teacher, and has two kids — a junior in high school and a sophomore in college. She grew up on the East Coast but moved to the Bay Area when she was 10 years old. In 1987 she arrived in San Diego to attend SDSU and knew she was a lifer.
She worked as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker before kids, followed by a career in HypnoBirthing and hypnotherapy. 9 years ago, she started a Young Living business where she sells essential oils not only to moms locally, but to people all over the world, and has turned it into a lucrative 7-figure business. (Follow her on Instagram where she shares her “Reel Life Hacks” to over 10k followers.)
We caught up with the serial entrepreneur (mom-preneur) to ask her what the seven things are that she’s vibing on most right now. This is what she said…
Pupologie
We have a rescue dog that has a sensitive stomach. Pupologie is a holistic pet food store in Encinitas that we get our dog food and treats from. Their staff is super knowledgeable about common issues.
East West Animal Hospital
Because we do our best to live our life as holistically as possible, we wanted a vet that is more naturally-minded. East West Animal Hospital is a veterinary clinic that integrates holistic and general practices and gives you choices about treatments so you can choose whatever you feel most comfortable with.
Black Rail Kitchen
Having an upscale – but not too fancy – restaurant close by is so nice! The food at Black Rail Kitchen is delicious and they have two amazing bars as well as a huge outdoor seating area. It’s a great place to go for a date night.
OsteoStrong
As me and my husband are getting older (we’re in our 50’s), we want to be as proactive as we can be about bone density. We go to OsteoStrong once a week for 10 minutes each to use their special machines that help to build bone density.
Restore Wellness
This is another place we go to to be proactive about our health and wellness. At Restore Wellness we do full body cryotherapy, red light therapy, compression and get a monthly IV.
Kung Fu Noodle
We love to get handmade soup dumplings and noodles, and other delicious Chinese food at Kung Fu Noodle. It’s a hole in the wall and nothing fancy inside but the food is absolutely delicious.
Philly Franks
Philly Franks flies their amoroso rolls in from PA and has the most authentic cheesesteak we’ve tried (& we’ve tried a lot)! They’ve also got other East Coast treats like TastyKakes and Water Ice too.
Point Loma Seafoods
Whenever we are in the area, we do our best to go get crab cake sandwiches at Point Loma Seafoods. They have the freshest seafood!
